Messy’s Mission
At Messy Speech and Language Therapy, our goal is to provide you quality, evidence-based services. Our goal is to meet your child and family where you are and build a cohesive, holistic treatment plan. We provide services within the scope of the field of speech-language pathology while collaborating with other professionals to ensure your child is treated as a whole-person. It is our goal to be on your team and work collaboratively with you for your child.
Our Philosophy
Child-led is the way to go. It is not our job to tell a child how to communicate or what to do with their language; it’s our job to meet the child where they are and teach them ways they can successfully communicate. We let the kids choose.
We’re just the provider of different modes of communication.
Our Owner
I’m Dani! I have been an SLP since 2018. I love being an SLP. Since becoming an SLP, I have worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, elementary school, and autism therapy centers.
I graduated from California State University, San Bernardino in 2014 with a bachelor’s in communications with a public relations concentration. After taking a year off of school, I happened upon the field of speech-language pathology and haven’t looked back since. I completed my master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Loma Linda University in June 2018. In 2020, I decided to go back to school one last time and graduated with my clinical doctorate in speech-language pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in August of 2022.
My areas of practice include assistive technology, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), articulation, language, and early language. I thoroughly enjoy making connections with families and being a small part of their amazing stories.
