Meet the SLP

My name is Dani and I have been an SLP since 2018. I love being an SLP. Since becoming an SLP, I have worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, elementary school, and autism therapy centers.

I graduated from California State University, San Bernardino in 2014 with a bachelor’s in communications with a public relations concentration. After taking a year off of school and finding out what I wanted to do, I happened upon the field of speech-language pathology and haven’t looked back since. I completed my master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Loma Linda University in June 2018. In 2020, I decided to go back to school one last time and graduated with my clinical doctorate in speech-language pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in August of 2022. I studied the effects of self-affirmations on impostor phenomenon in second year SLP graduate students.

My areas of practice include assistive technology, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), articulation, language, and early language. I believe in child-led therapy and following kids’ leads during therapy. Children learn through play and connection and speech therapy should include both!

I thoroughly enjoy making connections with families and being a small part of their amazing stories.
